The Fashion Editor-at-Large will serve as a leading cultural voice in mens and unisex style streetwear and sneaker culture across MENA. This is an experienced creative contributor role blending writing, video storytelling, and commissioning in a permalance (remote or hybrid) position. The ideal candidate lives and breathes streetwear and sneakers from global collabs to regional drops and has a sharp instinct for how style intersects with music, sports, and identity.
Responsibilities
- Editorial Contributions Deliver several original pieces monthly— a mix of written features, videos, interviews, and visual stories.
- Coverage Scope Cover the full spectrum of MENA and global streetwear culture: fashion brands, sneaker releases, designer collaborations, and subcultural movements.
- Writing Voice Write with authority, humor, and perspective, capturing the pulse of youth and street style.
Video & Visual Storytelling
- Short‑form Vlogs Create short‑form vlogs and digital fashion diaries spotlighting trends, events, and personalities.
- IP Development Work with Complex MENAs video and social teams to develop visually‑driven IPs and series rooted in style.
- On‑camera Presence Appear on camera for culture‑led segments, event coverage, or collaborations with local creatives.
Commissioning & Collaboration
- Talent Identification Identify and commission other writers, photographers, and stylists to contribute features and shoots.
- Mentorship Mentor up‑and‑coming voices in the region’s streetwear scene.
- Network Maintenance Maintain a strong network across designers, stylists, sneakerheads, and regional fashion labels.
Cultural Alignment
- Coverage Tone Ensure Complex MENAs fashion coverage reflects the fusion of regional pride and global influence.
- Language Proficiency Be fluent in both English and Arabic style lexicon, knowing when and how to localize tone for the platform.
Requirements
- 3 years writing or editing within fashion, lifestyle, or culture publications.
- Deep understanding of sneaker and streetwear ecosystems.
- Comfortable being both behind and in front of the camera.
- Strong editorial voice and visual sensibility.
