Job summary

Azizi Developments is seeking a Facade Draftsman / BIM Modeler to translate complex façade concepts into production‑ready 2D shop drawings and high‑LOD 3D models. You will work closely with façade engineers, factory teams and on‑site crews to ensure accurate take‑offs and zero‑clash coordination.

• Clear understanding of unitized and stick curtain walls, thermal breaks, and anchoring brackets.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; BIM software including Revit and Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive 2D shop drawings, elevations, sections and joinery details for curtain walls and glazing.
• Develop detailed 3D facade models in Revit (LOD 300–400) with accurate parameters.
• Run BIM clash detection against structural, MEP and architectural trades using Navisworks.
• Produce fabrication/assembly drawings, glass sizes, cutting lists and BOQs from CAD/BIM.
• Update shop drawings and models from site surveys and redlines per BEP and standards.

A Facade Draftsman / BIM Modeler translates complex architectural concepts into precise, production-ready 2D shop drawings and high-LOD 3D BIM models for facade systems. This dual-capability role works closely with facade engineers, factory production teams, and site installation crews to ensure seamless digital coordination, accurate material take-offs, and zero-clash integration with primary structural elements.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting & Detailing: Prepare comprehensive 2D shop drawings, elevations, sections, floor plans, and enlarged typical/atypical joinery details for stick/unitized curtain walls, aluminum cladding, skylights, windows, and doors.
• BIM Modeling: Develop detailed 3D facade models at LOD 300 to LOD 400 in Revit, incorporating accurate family parameters, profile geometries, fixing brackets, and glazing properties.
• Clash Detection & Coordination: Run BIM clash detection models against structural, MEP, and architectural trades using Navisworks to resolve spatial conflicts before manufacturing.
• Fabrication Packages: Produce accurate fabrication/assembly drawings, glass sizes, profile cutting lists, CNC extraction files, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) directly from CAD and BIM platforms.
• Site As-Builts: Update shop drawings and 3D models based on site survey data, 3D laser scans, and redline revisions provided by site engineers.
• Standards Compliance: Adhere to company drafting protocols, client BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and local UAE building authority standards (Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence).

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or Drafting Technology.
• Experience: 3–6 years of hands-on experience in facade shop drawing preparation and BIM modeling within the aluminum and glass manufacturing/contracting industry in the UAE/GCC.
• Facade Expertise: Clear technical understanding of unitized and stick curtain wall interfaces, thermal break systems, silicone joints, flashing details, and anchoring brackets.
