Qualifications

InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay is seeking a friendly, energetic, and service-driven F&B Assistant to join our Food & Beverage team.

As an F&B Assistant, you will play an important role in delivering warm, efficient, and personalized service across our dining experiences. This position requires someone who is multitasking, flexible, and able to work confidently across both In-Room Dining and restaurant operations, depending on the business requirements.

You will work closely with the F&B team to ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining the high standards expected of a luxury hospitality environment.

Located in the heart of Dubai’s Business Bay, just moments from iconic landmarks such as Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay features 176 elegantly designed residences and hotel rooms, offering refined luxury, comfort, and sophistication.

As an F&B Assistant, your positive attitude, attention to detail, flexibility, and passion for guest service will contribute directly to creating memorable experiences for our guests and residents.

Your Day-to-Day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

Restaurant & Guest Service

• Welcome and acknowledge guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
• Provide efficient and attentive service throughout the guest dining experience.
• Set up, maintain, and clear tables according to hotel standards.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately.
• Assist guests with menu-related questions and requests.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of menus, promotions, and available products.
• Anticipate guest needs and proactively provide assistance.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and escalate concerns to the Supervisor or Manager when required.

In-Room Dining Operations

• Support daily In-Room Dining operations and ensure orders are delivered accurately and promptly.
• Prepare trays, trolleys, and orders according to established hotel standards.
• Deliver food and beverages to guest rooms in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ensure guest privacy and provide discreet and personalized service.
• Collect trays, trolleys, and service equipment from guest rooms as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the In-Room Dining service area.
• Coordinate closely with the Kitchen and Front Office teams to ensure smooth service.

Multitasking & Operational Flexibility

• Be flexible and able to work across restaurant and In-Room Dining operations based on business needs.
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail.
• Support different F&B areas and outlets when required.
• Adapt quickly to changing guest demands and operational priorities.
• Assist colleagues across the department to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude during high-volume operations.

Food & Beverage Support

• Assist Waiters, Supervisors, and Managers with daily service requirements.
• Support breakfast, lunch, dinner, In-Room Dining, and other F&B operations as required.
• Assist with buffet setup and replenishment.
• Ensure sufficient availability of cutlery, crockery, glassware, condiments, and other service items.
• Coordinate with the Kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
• Handle food and beverage items safely and hygienically.
• Assist with stock replenishment and maintain organized service areas.

Restaurant & Outlet Standards

• Ensure tables, service stations, and outlet areas are clean, organized, and properly maintained.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene at all times.
• Ensure all equipment and service areas are in good condition.
• Report maintenance issues, equipment defects, or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow all established service procedures, brand standards, and operational guidelines.

Guest Experience

• Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for guests and residents.
• Demonstrate genuine hospitality and maintain a professional approach at all times.
• Look for opportunities to exceed guest expectations.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously.
• Support the team in achieving guest satisfaction and departmental goals.

Health, Safety & Hygiene

• Follow all hotel, IHG, and UAE health, safety, and hygiene requirements.
• Maintain proper personal grooming and hygiene standards.
• Follow food safety procedures when handling and serving food and beverages.
• Report accidents, incidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Keep all work and service areas clean, safe, and organized.

Teamwork & Collaboration

• Work closely with F&B, Kitchen, Stewarding, Housekeeping, Front Office, and other hotel departments.
• Support colleagues during busy periods and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Participate in daily briefings, training sessions, and team meetings.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist wherever required.

What We Need From You

Ideally, you bring some or all of the following qualifications and experience.

Education & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospitality or Food & Beverage training is an advantage.
• Food safety or hygiene certification is an advantage.

Experience & Skills

• Previous experience in Food & Beverage, restaurant, hotel, café, or In-Room Dining operations is preferred.
• Experience working in both restaurant and In-Room Dining operations is an advantage.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible and willing to work across different F&B outlets according to operational requirements.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Good understanding of hygiene and food safety practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multicultural team.
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for guest service.
