Job summary

International Community Schools (ICS) in Abu Dhabi is seeking a proactive Teacher Assistant to support EYFS classrooms. You will assist the lead teacher, prepare learning materials, and help create a stimulating environment for 3-5 year olds.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and 2-3 years in Early Years or KS1, with fluent English and basic MS Office skills. Familiarity with the EYFS framework and British curriculum is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Teacher Assistant or similar role in Early Years or Key Stage 1.
• Experience supporting children aged 3-5 years.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to meet ADEK regulatory requirements and security clearances.
• Possession of a valid UAE residency visa or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential support to the classroom teacher in the EYFS team.
• Foster a positive and stimulating learning environment for young learners.
• Assist with the creation, preparation, and organization of learning materials and classroom displays.
• Support children aged 3-5 years within a classroom environment.
• Utilize classroom technology including interactive whiteboards and tablets.
