Qualifications

The EYFS Primary Teacher will deliver engaging learning experiences aligned with the National Curriculum for England while supporting the academic, social, emotional, and creative development of young children. The role requires a teacher who can create a safe, inspiring, and well-structured classroom environment where pupils are encouraged to explore, communicate, build confidence, and develop a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality EYFS and primary lessons that follow the National Curriculum for England.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports curiosity, independence, creativity, and early learning development.
• Use age-appropriate teaching strategies to develop communication, literacy, numeracy, social skills, and confidence.
• Assess pupil progress regularly and use learning data to adapt lessons and provide targeted support.
• Encourage children to discover their interests, talents, and learning potential through varied classroom activities.
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain consistent teaching standards across the year group and school.
• Support inclusive learning by adapting activities for different abilities, needs, and learning styles.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff to support strong home-school communication.
• Contribute to school events, displays, curriculum planning, and wider school initiatives.
• Maintain classroom routines, safeguarding expectations, and high standards of pupil care.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and collaborative planning sessions.
• Uphold school policies, GEMS standards, and professional conduct requirements at all times.

Ideal Profile

• B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent qualification in Primary teaching or a closely related field.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience using the National Curriculum for England.
• Proven experience as an EYFS or Primary Teacher in a British curriculum or international school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and confidence in early years and primary classroom delivery.
• Track record of outstanding teaching, pupil progress, and positive classroom practice.
• Experience working within a high-performing teaching team.
• Ability to create engaging lessons that support critical thinking, creativity, and curiosity.
• Strong communication skills with pupils, parents, colleagues, and school leaders.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, wellbeing, and child-centered education.
• UK-enhanced DBS, police clearance, or equivalent background check required for appointment.
