Job summary

A leading export logistics company is seeking a qualified professional to oversee post-sales export operations. Responsibilities include managing Letters of Credit, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining strong relationships with freight forwarders and partners. A Bachelor's degree in commerce or international trade is required, alongside at least 3 years of experience in the industry. Proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of SAP modules is desirable.

Job description
Job Purpose:

Driving excellence in customer experience by strategically overseeing post-sales export logistics and ensuring the seamless, timely, and precise flow of critical shipment information across global operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Review and process new purchase orders to initiate supplier coordination and ensure accuracy for Letter of Credit preparation.
  • Follow up with suppliers to confirm order readiness and required documentation for export processing.
  • Coordinate with inspection companies to schedule and monitor product inspections in line with shipment timelines.
  • Track Letters of Credit from customers, verify terms, and prepare documents for timely presentation to the bank.
  • Compile and verify external shipment documents, such as Certificates of Origin, Bills of Lading, Insurance and Inspection Certificates, ensuring compliance with destination country regulations.
  • Communicate with freight forwarders and shipping lines to confirm bookings and negotiate competitive freight rates.
  • Maintain relationships with shipping and logistics partners to ensure smooth documentation flow and shipment execution.
  • Follow up with inspection agencies to expedite certification and ensure timely dispatch of goods.
  • Engage with banks daily to track the status of export documentation, acceptances, and incoming payments.
  • Monitor customer accounts for export receipt updates and coordinate with finance teams on payment follow-ups.
  • Liaise with customers to address shipment updates, resolve document-related queries, and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Ensure timely courier or electronic delivery of export documents to customers and stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of logistics strategies to align with the company’s broader mission and operational goals.
  • Update internal tracking systems to reflect shipment, inspection, and payment statuses for ongoing visibility and reporting.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, ISO standards, Health & Safety requirements, ethical code of conduct & values.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Manage all aspects of Letters of Credit, including receipt, verification, and timely submission to banks.
  • Negotiate freight rates and maintain strategic relationships with shipping lines to ensure cost‑effective and timely shipments.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with export customers to ensure a seamless post‑sales experience.
  • Guarantee prompt delivery of export documents to customers and relevant stakeholders to prevent delays.
  • Support business strategies and logistics planning to align with the company’s goals and contribute to overall success.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional development.
Education Qualification and Experience:
  • Knowledge of Letter of Credits and Export Finance
