Job summary

Etisalat is seeking a seasoned Security Engineer to review and implement security controls across core infrastructure services (4G/3G/Internet/Cloud/Data Centers/IPTV). The role covers on-call escalations and change-management rosters, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure robust security practices.

The candidate must bring hands-on experience with Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, Huawei firewalls and a strong telecom background, with ITIL-based operations knowledge and relevant security

Qualifications

• Must have in-depth technical knowledge of security devices, infrastructure networks, Internet, Cloud, Data Centers and IPTV.
• Hands-on experience with security OEM technologies and controls like UTM, SDWAN SASE, IPS/IDS.
• Preferably telecom environment experience.
• Design and hands-on experience with information security products.
• Identify and implement security controls for telecom, cloud and IT services.
• Strong documentation and presentation skills.
• Security certifications: CCNP (Security), JNCIP (Security), NSE4, etc.
• ITIL-based operations including Change/Incident/Problem Management.
• Minimum BS degree in Computers or Engineering.
• 8+ years in Network Security.

Responsibilities

• Administration, configurations, maintenance & troubleshooting of network security issues.
• Manage security devices including Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper SRX, Huawei Firewalls.
• Understand ACLs and policy filters on high-end routers & switches.
• Analyze network architecture and plan upgrades.
• Diagnose problems under time constraints.
• Coordinate security planning for new projects and ensure best practices.
• Provide Level 2/3 support to diagnose issues affecting service reliability.
• Coordinate with TAC for hardware, software & network problems and RMAs.
• Provide on-call support for L2/L3 escalations 24x7.

• Coordinate with security planning for all new projects and ensuring the best security practices and strategies are followed.
• Troubleshoot & Provide Level 2/3 support in order to diagnose all problems that may cause Service Degradation or Interruption in the Network Security Domain.
• Coordination with TAC regarding Hardware, Software & Network Problems and RMA for faulty equipment.
• Provide call out support on all L2/L3 escalations 24*7.

Qualifications
