Job summary

Ecojob in Dibba-El-Fujairah, UAE, is seeking an experienced Welder to join the team. The role involves welding in flat, vertical, or overhead positions and reading blueprints to meet specifications. The candidate will set up components, repair machinery, and inspect finished work for accuracy while maintaining a safe work environment and monitoring equipment performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification is a plus.
• At least 3 years of experience as a welder.
• Ability to read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications or measurements.
• Knowledge of the use of appropriate tools (e.g. plasma cutters).
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g. calipers).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine layout requirements.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements).
• Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
• Inspect completed workpieces for accuracy and make adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance to detect malfunctions.
