Qualifications
- Proven experience as welder (minimum 3 years)
- Ability to read blueprints/diagrams and use precise measuring instruments
- Experience working with hazardous materials and safety procedures
- Attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
Responsibilities
- Cut and join metals and other materials using welding machines, torches, or similar equipment
- Inspect completed workpieces to ensure that they meet requirements
- Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping
- Follow blueprints or diagrams during product assembly
- Repair worn parts using precision welding equipment
- Perform regular maintenance on tools and equipment used in the welding process
- Ensure that all safety procedures are followed while working with dangerous materials or tools.
