Job summary

Azure Dine & Hire, a high-end bakery in Abu Dhabi, seeks an Experienced Pastry Chef to lead the pastry team and craft a variety of desserts. You will create new items with the Head Chef, ensure consistent quality, and drive presentation standards in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include a minimum of 3 years in a professional kitchen, strong leadership, and fluency in English. A culinary degree or certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Experienced Pastry Chef

We are a high-end bakery located in Abu Dhabi, seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and other sweet treats. You will work closely with our Head Chef to develop new menu items and ensure consistency in quality and presentation. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a professional kitchen, possess strong leadership skills, and have a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1400 per month.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and create various types of pastries, desserts, and other sweet treats according to recipes or as directed by the Head Chef
• Develop new menu items based on seasonal ingredients or special requests from customers
• Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and assistants to ensure high-quality products are consistently produced
• Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained at all times
• Ensure all food safety standards are followed in the preparation and storage of ingredients
• Keep work area clean and organized at all times
• Collaborate with other members of the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a professional kitchen setting
• Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of different pastry techniques, such as baking, decorating, chocolate work, etc.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
• Creative mindset with an eye for detail to create visually appealing desserts
• Fluent in English (Arabic language skills would be an advantage)
• Must be able to legally work in Abu Dhabi
