Job summary

Workato in Umm-al-Qaiwain, UAE is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. You will work on woodworking projects, install windows, doors, cabinetry, and frames using hand and power tools.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of carpentry experience, reads technical drawings, operates saws and machinery, and can work independently with good physical condition.

This on-site role requires long hours and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven carpentry experience in the field.
• Ability to read technical drawings and plans.
• Experience operating machinery and power tools.
• Excellent physical condition and ability to work long hours.

Responsibilities

• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using ruler, pencil, chalk and marking gauge.
• Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements.
• Assemble cut and shaped materials and fasten them together with nails, screws or other fasteners using hand tools and power tools.
• Install items such as windows, doors, stairs, cabinetry, trim or hardware using hand or power tools.
• Construct building frameworks including walls, floors & door frames using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
• Install fixtures such as windows & door frames into framework.
• Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance work where necessary.
