Job summary

Avanta Works in Dubai is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join the team. You will construct, repair, and install wooden structures according to specifications, using a variety of tools and techniques. Indian candidates are preferred for this position.

The role requires reading blueprints, measuring precisely, and delivering quality finishes. Accommodation is provided, and preference is given to Dubai-based candidates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools.
• Physical stamina for heavy materials.
• Good math skills and attention to detail.
• Strong English communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, pencils and marking gauges.
• Cut, shape and join materials using hand or power tools, such as saws, chisels, planes and drills.
• Install structures such as windows, frames, floorings and trim.
• Repair existing structures by replacing damaged wood or parts.
• Finish surfaces by sanding, staining or painting.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality.
