• Update SOPs for treasury sales and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Contribute to development and structuring of treasury products with client input.
• Deliver against financial, product, customer and risk targets; review performance and adjust actions.
• Negotiate trade prices with traders to drive market-competitive pricing and profitability.

About the business area

The Corporate & Investment Banking Group (CIBG) provides a portfolio of corporate banking services, including investment & transaction banking as well as financial market solutions. This sophisticated product suite is powered by efficient digital platforms and distribution channels. It serves a broad range of clients both domestically and across the MENA region, including government entities, financial institutions, large to mid-size corporates, and commercial clients (SMEs), and maintains strategic relationships with leading banks globally

In this role, your key responsibilities include:

• To manage all ADCB’s treasury sales desk, covering all products within the Bank’s investment and risk management solutions, ensuring compliance with internal policy and external regulations in order to deliver on the Bank’s commercial and customer priorities within the Bank’s agreed risk appetite
• Manage the ADCB’s Treasury Structured Solutions team, including problem solving, structuring, execution, and account management covering all products across the Bank’s investment and risk management solutions in order to maximise the performance and profitability of the Bank
• Collaborate in the development and direct the implementation of ADCB’s treasury product development and sales strategy in order to maximise profitability whilst effectively managing risk
• Support in the development and update of the departments Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and practices for treasury sales, creating an action plan and overseeing its implementation to ensure compliance with both internal policy and external regulatory requirements
• Contribute to the development and structuring of the Bank’s treasury products, providing client-specific input into the process, so that the Bank’s products and solutions remain client-focused and market competitive
• Manage the delivery against financial, product, customer and risk-based targets for the desk, continuously review performance against these targets and take corrective action where appropriate in order to drive profitability and liquidity within an agreed risk appetite
• Oversee the negotiation of trade prices with the Bank’s traders in order to drive market-competitive pricing and drive profitability

The ideal candidate should have the following experience

• Bachelor’s degree is now a mandatory requirement
• At least 8 years of experience in progressively more complex and responsible roles in Banking sales
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
• Banking product knowledge
