Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) seeks an experienced Investment Banking leader for the Government & Public Sector. You will manage and grow client business, supervise day-to-day activities, and ensure revenue targets while maintaining client satisfaction and credit quality.

You will collaborate with MDs, Product teams, and stakeholders to maximize opportunities, develop strategy, and drive high-quality outputs within budgeted limits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Investment Banking.
• Knowledge of banking sector, FAB's products and strategies.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to priorities.
• Computer proficiency and research/analysis skills.
• Banking software systems proficiency.
• Data analysis and financial modelling skills.
• Credit analysis skills and good communication.

Job Summary / Introduction

To manage and grow client business for assigned portfolio in the Investment Banking Government & Public Sector; improve service quality levels and supervise subordinates' day-to-day activities and client interactions to ensure that the team’s objectives are constantly met and its revenue targets achieved, while maintaining client satisfaction and portfolio credit quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure effective cascading of the functional strategy into department business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departmental strategies.
• Work with MDs to develop the team’s strategy and business plan with the aim of increasing the Bank’s share of the target clients’ wallet and achieving target relationship returns.
• Keep close interaction with Product teams, and other stakeholders, to maximize business opportunities with clients, and to streamline execution of deals and strategies.
• Contribute to talent development initiatives for the assigned department, collaborating with technical/discipline experts and thereby ensure the availability of talent to fit business requirements.
• Act as a role model and drive adherence to organizational values and ethics by employees of the assigned department to foster a value driven culture within the Group.
• Manage P&L responsibility of the assigned portfolio, achieving targets within defined budget levels.
• Manage and ensure effective implementation of the CIB functional policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
• Participate in the financial analysis conducted on clients and their respective industries/ markets to identify potential opportunities and risks.
• Originate new business opportunities with target clients across banking products.
• Develop and execute Term Sheet, Information Memorandum, financial modelling, mandate letter, etc.
• Examine & resolve credit, market and operational risk aspects of the transactions in collaboration with products and enablement units.
• Maintain the credit quality of the clients relationships within the Portfolio to an acceptable level set by the Bank’s management.
• Achieve individual and team financial performance targets.
• Identify & develop cross selling opportunities and increase the cross-sell ratio with key clients.
• Ensure all credit reviews are submitted on time and agreed conditions are met.
• Maintain a satisfactory audit on the portfolio.
• Adhere to process KPI’s and, ORM, BCP & Internal Audit requirements.
• Assist the Sector Head in the day-to-day administrative and transactional activities to ensure continuity of work and the delivery of effective and high-quality outputs.
• Manage and follow up on KYC and compliance requirements in order to ensure consistency with the Bank’s KYC and AML policies and regulatory requirements.
• Review and analyze financial statements, MIS and reports to keep track of performance vs. budgets.
