Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) invites applications for a Corporate Finance professional to participate in all aspects of transaction execution, including M&A, IPOs, and equity capital markets activities. You will build complex financial models, evaluate strategies, and support client meetings while liaising with risk, legal, and compliance teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, commerce or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking and/or mergers & acquisitions, preferably with a reputable international bank or Big 4.
  • Strong financial modelling and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with solid credit, structuring and LMA documentation expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Support origination and execution of Corporate Finance transactions including M&A, IPOs, and equity capital markets activities.
  • Participate in all aspects of transaction origination and execution with client interactions and deal management.
  • Attend client meetings to support origination and execution activities.
  • Prepare marketing materials, investor presentations, term sheets, and other transaction-related documents.
  • Develop complex financial models and perform valuation analyses (DCF, LBO, DDM, multiples).
  • Collaborate with Client Service and Product teams to deliver superior client service and support transaction objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with risk, legal, and regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of operational efficiency.

Job Description
Job Summary / Introduction

The role holder is responsible for actively participating in all aspects of transaction execution in areas of Corporate Finance (M&A buy side, sell side, mergers; IPO and other equity capital markets activities; and selected debt advisory, etc.) in order to achieve P&L targets for Corporate Finance in line with the CIB strategy. The role is also responsible for collaborating with other Client Service and Product teams to ensure superior service for the clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the origination and execution of Corporate Finance transactions, including M&A buy-side, sell-side, mergers, IPOs, equity capital markets activities, and selected debt advisory mandates.
  • Participate in all aspects of transaction origination and execution, including client interactions and deal management.
  • Attend and contribute to client meetings in support of transaction origination and execution activities.
  • Prepare marketing presentations, pitch books, information memoranda, investor presentations, term sheets, and other transaction-related materials.
  • Develop complex financial models and perform valuation analyses using methodologies such as DCF, LBO, DDM, public market multiples, transaction multiples, and merger models.
  • Evaluate business plans, business models, and project reports to support business development initiatives and mandate execution.
  • Assist in financial, legal, risk, and compliance reviews, due diligence processes, and other transaction-related administrative activities.
  • Implement departmental policies, systems, and procedures to ensure compliance with legislative and procedural requirements while delivering quality and cost-effective service.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, focusing on operational efficiency, cost reduction, productivity enhancement, and alignment with international best practices.
  • Collaborate with Client Service and Product teams to deliver superior client service and support achievement of Corporate Finance business objectives.
  • Define and achieve annual performance goals, identify development needs, and continuously enhance professional knowledge and technical expertise.
  • Maintain adherence to FAB and departmental policies, risk, credit, and compliance standards while ensuring timely execution of client transactions and deliverables.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or any related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking and/or mergers & acquisitions, preferably with a reputable international investment bank or Big 4 firm.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand financing structures based on the current & expected market conditions.
  • Strong financial modelling and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with solid credit, structuring and LMA documentation expertise required.
  • Strong negotiating skills and ability to exercise good judgment, which balances needs of client, investors and FAB.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and financial statements.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
  • Good inter-personal skills.
    Preferred / Beneficial
  • Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or any related discipline (Optional).
  • Training or time spent in either London, New York, Singapore or Hong Kong will be looked at favorably.
