Job summary

SmartConnect Qatar in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Chef de Cuisine skilled in Pakistani cuisine to lead our kitchen and shape the menu. You will train and manage cooks, maintain high standards, oversee inventory and costs, and collaborate on new specials. UAE residency is preferred.

Salary is 1,500 USD per month, negotiable based on experience. Ideal candidates bring proven leadership, deep Pakistani cuisine knowledge, and experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel kitchen in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role in Pakistani settings.
• Deep knowledge of Pakistani cuisine, ingredients, cooking techniques, and traditional dishes.
• Excellent leadership and team-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update menu items for Pakistani cuisine, ensuring authenticity and quality
• Train and supervise cooks and kitchen staff on proper techniques and recipes
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper food ordering to meet demand
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to ensure consistency and high standards
• Monitor food costs, portion control, and waste management
• Collaborate with other chefs to develop new menu items or specials
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
