Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience operating an excavator safely.
• Knowledge of construction standards.
• Problem solving skills.
• Ability to interpret plans & diagrams.
• Physical fitness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
• Willingness to learn new techniques & methods.
• Knowledge of safety regulations & OSHA compliance.
• Proficiency in English (reading & writing).
• CSCS or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform excavation work safely and efficiently while following regulations.
• Operate the excavator per manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct daily maintenance checks on the machine.
• Load materials into/out of the excavator.
• Handle hazardous materials correctly.
• Identify hazards or risks at the job site.
• Keep accurate records of hours, materials, etc.
• Complete tasks within deadlines set by management.
