Role Overview

The Event & Sponsorship Leader is responsible for driving Bybit's global event strategy, enhancing industry presence, and creating high‑impact branding opportunities across Web3 and adjacent sectors. This role requires strong leadership, external partnership development, and the ability to deliver world‑class event experiences that elevate Bybit's brand on the global stage. This leader will oversee three major verticals: Industry Events, Sponsorship, Internal Events – ensuring unified standards, strategic alignment, and consistent execution excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Industry Event Ownership
  • Fully lead the planning, execution, and review of all industry‑facing events (e.g., Token2049, Paris Blockchain Week).
  • Identify, evaluate, and secure high‑impact industry opportunities.
  • Develop annual and quarterly event roadmaps aligned with Bybit's business strategy.
  • Ensure flawless event quality across branding, production, messaging, and overall experience.
  • Demonstrate fast response and strong follow‑through, ensuring no loose ends across planning and execution.
Sponsorship Strategy & Execution
  • Own end‑to‑end sponsorship strategy: selection, negotiation, activation, and performance review.
  • Source world‑class sponsorship opportunities across Web3 and Web2.
  • Build measurable KPIs and ensure sponsorship ROI across branding and business impact.
  • Collaborate with Web2 Conversion, PR, KOL, Content, and other cross‑functional partners.
  • Use strong negotiation and partnership management skills to secure high‑value deals.
Internal Events Leadership
  • Lead internal event strategy (anniversary events, hackathons, internal summits).
  • Ensure internal events reinforce culture and brand identity.
  • Build repeatable SOPs and scalable workflows for internal events.
  • Demonstrate service mindset, balancing internal stakeholder needs with execution requirements.
Team Leadership & People Management
  • Lead and mentor a high‑performing event & sponsorship team.
  • Build clear PIC structures, ownership, and accountability mechanisms.
  • Coach team members on strategic thinking, planning, risk management, and external communication.
  • Ability to break down complex projects into clear tasks and guide the team to execute with high discipline.
  • Proven experience serving as a team leader, building cohesion across multiple sub‑teams.
External BD & Partnership Development
  • Act as Bybit's representative to industry partners, conference organisers, and associations.
  • Maintain an active network in the event ecosystem, including agencies, organisers, vendors, and production partners.
  • Source new event categories, cross‑industry collaborations, and innovative partnership models.
  • Negotiate speaking slots, partnerships, and media opportunities.
  • Stay updated on ecosystem trends to position Bybit in emerging markets and communities.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Branding, Social, PR, KOL, Product Marketing, Marketing PMO, and BUs.
  • Ensure unified messaging, onsite presence, branding, and post‑event amplification.
  • Deliver end‑to‑end event experiences that maximise branding and business impact.
Budget, Vendor & Risk Management
  • Manage multi‑million‑dollar annual event and sponsorship budgets.
  • Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation, production quality, and risk control.
  • Maintain fast execution, meticulous follow‑up, and strict timeline management.
  • Ensure all events are delivered on time, within budget, and to a world‑class standard.
Qualifications
Must‑Have
  • 6+ years of experience in events, sponsorship, partnerships, or marketing.
  • Proven track record executing large‑scale international events.
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Strong BD, negotiation, and external communication skills.
  • Fast response, high execution speed, and reliable follow‑up discipline.
  • Ability to think strategically while managing detailed execution.
  • Excellent English and Mandarin written and verbal communication.
Preferred
  • Experience in Web3, fintech, or global tech/consumer brands.
  • Existing network with event agencies, organisers, and global partners.
  • Creative and ideas‑driven, with the ability to propose new concepts and experiences.
  • Sensitive and detail‑oriented thinking style; able to catch risks early.
  • Familiarity with Web3 narratives, conferences, and community culture.
