Job summary

Live Recruitment is seeking an Event Scenic Draftsperson - CAD to transform creative concepts into precise construction drawings for immersive theatre and live events. The role centers on producing detailed AutoCAD and CNC drawings, coordinating with workshop teams and managing projects from concept to delivery.

You will bring strong 2D/3D AutoCAD skills, carpentry and metalwork knowledge, and hands-on experience in workshop or technical environments.

Qualifications

• Solid, demonstrable experience drafting for scenic fabrication.
• Strong proficiency in 2D and 3D AutoCAD.
• Hands-on understanding of carpentry and metalwork methods.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed construction, bench and CNC drawings using AutoCAD and 3D software
• Manage multiple projects independently from concept through to completion
• Liaise with the workshop floor on queries, adjustments and fabrication coordination
• Develop and specify build methods, materials and techniques for each project
• Research and test innovative fabrication methods and materials
• Support and mentor junior drafters with their development and progression
• Attend occasional client meetings and site surveys as required
