Job summary

Etihad Airways is seeking an experienced captain to ensure safety and security of crew, passengers, cargo and aircraft. You will exercise full command of the aircraft from taxi-out to final engine shutdown and lead the flight and cabin crew with strong decision-making and CRM.

You must have 7,000 hours total flying time, 2,500 PIC hours on jet multi-crew aircraft (2,000+ on wide-body above 140 tons), and 1,500 hours on A330/A340/A350 with an unrestricted ATPL and ICAO Level 4 English.

The Role

• Ensure the safety and security of crew, passengers, cargo, and aircraft at all times
• Exercise full command of the aircraft from taxi‑out to final engine shutdown
• Lead the flight and cabin crew, demonstrating strong decision‑making and effective crew resource management
• Operate with efficiency and environmental responsibility, in line with company fuel and sustainability policies
• Deliver consistent on‑time performance to meet Etihad’s commitment to reliability and guest satisfaction

What you’ll bring

• A minimum of 7,000 hours total flying time
• A minimum of 2,500 hours PIC hours on jet multi‑crew new generation aircraft/EFIS, of which 2,000 hours should be on wide body aircraft above 140 tons
• A minimum of 1,500 hours on A330/A340/A350

General Eligibility

• Flown the A330/A340/A350 within the last 12 months
• Type rating on A330/A340/A350 for at least 2 more months at the time of joining
• Unrestricted ATPL and current ICAO ATPL
• Unrestricted, current Class 1 medical
• English language fluency (written and verbal) – ICAO Level 4 or higher
