Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services in the UAE is seeking a highly capable Estimator – Infrastructure to prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for roads, utilities, drainage, water networks, and related civil works.

The candidate should have 5+ years of UAE infrastructure estimation experience, strong take-off skills, and hands-on Candy Estimation Software expertise, with proficiency in Excel and commercial awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years UAE estimation experience in infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience using Candy Estimation Software.
• Proven experience preparing complete tender estimates independently.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity take-off techniques.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specs, BOQs, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specs.
• Develop accurate cost estimates for infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, drainage, water networks, sewerage, irrigation).
• Prepare rate build-ups for labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and temporary works.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and constraints.
• Analyze tender risks, opportunities, and commercial considerations.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning and construction teams during bid prep.
• Prepare tender clarifications and respond to client queries.
• Assist in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
• Maintain and update historical cost databases and productivity norms.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimator – Infrastructure to join our team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for infrastructure projects including roads, utilities, drainage networks, potable water networks, sewerage systems, irrigation works, and associated civil works.

The ideal candidate must possess strong experience in UAE infrastructure projects, excellent quantity take-off capabilities, and advanced proficiency in Candy Estimation Software.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Develop accurate cost estimates for infrastructure projects including:
  • Roads and highways
  • Earthworks
  • Utilities and service diversions
  • Stormwater drainage networks
  • Sewerage and potable water networks
  • Irrigation systems
  • Road furniture and associated civil works
• Prepare rate build-ups for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and temporary works.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Conduct site visits where required to assess project conditions and constraints.
• Analyze tender risks, opportunities, and commercial considerations.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and construction teams during bid preparation.
• Prepare tender clarifications and respond to client queries.
• Assist in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
