Job summary

Al Marwan Group in United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Asphalt Estimation Specialist to support road construction projects. You will review drawings, prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates and commercial proposals.

The role requires a Civil Engineering qualification, 5+ years in asphalt estimation, strong knowledge of production and paving operations, and advanced MS Excel skills. You will coordinate with operations, procurement and QA/QC teams to optimize bid outcomes

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in asphalt estimation or road construction.
• Strong knowledge of asphalt production and paving operations.
• Excellent MS Excel and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, BOQs, specifications and project scope.
• Prepare detailed asphalt quantity take‑offs and cost estimates.
• Estimate production costs (bitumen, aggregates, fuel, manpower, plant equipment).
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations for materials and transport.
• Prepare commercial proposals for internal and external customers.
• Calculate plant production cost per ton.
• Estimate site transportation and machinery usage.
• Prepare profit and loss projections and update rates based on market changes.
• Coordinate with operations, procurement, finance and QA/QC teams.
• Document project support: prepare formal quotations, pricing sheets and tender submissions.
• Maintain cost databases and track bid outcomes.
• Support project teams with planning variations and mix design costing.
