Job summary

Ardent Partners in Dubai is seeking an Estimator to lead the full tender process on high-value build projects. The role requires reviewing tender documents, preparing quantities, issuing enquiries, and building up rates in collaboration with planning and commercial teams.

Ideal candidates have proven estimating experience with a main contractor, GCC exposure, and strong Excel and estimating software skills. UAE-based experience is preferred for this Tier 1 contractor.

Qualifications

• Proven estimating experience with a main contractor.
• UAE or wider GCC experience on build projects.
• Strong knowledge of measurement, take off and rate build up.
• Confident dealing with subcontractors, clients and consultants.
• Proficient with estimating software and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings and specifications, and identifying scope, risk and opportunity.
• Preparing bills of quantities and taking off from drawings.
• Issuing enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers, then analysing and levelling returns.
• Building up rates for labour, plant and materials.
• Preparing cost plans, budgets and tender submissions.
• Attending mid tender and post tender meetings with clients and consultants.
• Working alongside planning, design and commercial teams on the overall tender strategy.
• Supporting handover of successful tenders to the delivery team.

Estimator | Tier 1 Contractor | Dubai

Our client is a Tier 1 main contractor with an established presence in the UAE and a strong track record on large scale build projects. Due to a growing order book, they are looking to appoint an Estimator.

The role

You will be responsible for the full tender process on high value build projects from initial enquiry through to submission.

• Reviewing tender documents, drawings and specifications, and identifying scope, risk and opportunity
• Preparing bills of quantities and taking off from drawings
• Issuing enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers, then analysing and levelling returns
• Building up rates for labour, plant and materials
• Preparing cost plans, budgets and tender submissions
