Job summary

Fables Interiors in the UAE seeks a Project Estimation Engineer with a strong civil construction and interior fit-out background. You will independently handle site surveys, detailed cost estimation and BOQ preparation while coordinating with design and project teams to deliver competitive quotations.

You will read civil and architectural drawings, plan schedules, oversee site execution in coordination with supervisors, and ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations.

Qualifications

• Supports site surveys and understands project scope requirements.
• Prepares detailed cost estimates and BOQs for interior fit-out and civil works.
• Reads civil and architectural drawings to translate requirements into quotations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough site visits and surveys to assess and understand full project scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed BOQ and accurate cost estimates using PlanSwift.
• Estimate costs for civil work, interior fit-out and joinery works independently.
• Coordinate with design and project teams to prepare competitive quotations.
• Plan and schedule project timelines, milestones and resource allocation.
• Monitor and oversee project execution on site in coordination with site supervisors.
• Read, interpret and work from civil and architectural drawings.
• Coordinate with Dubai consultants and ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain market rates.
• Prepare material take-offs and procurement schedules.
• Manage project documentation including snag lists and progress reports.
• Support permit application processes and authority submissions.
• Report project status to the Managing Director.
