Job summary

DRUK Recruitment & Realty [FZE] in Dubai is seeking an experienced Estimation Engineer for its custom joinery and bespoke furniture division. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, study drawings and BOQs, and coordinate with design and production teams to ensure competitive pricing and on-time delivery.

The role requires 5–6 years of hands-on estimation experience in a joinery factory, strong knowledge of materials, and meticulous cost control.

Qualifications

• Engineering Graduate or equivalent technical qualification.
• 5–6 years of strong hands-on estimation experience in a custom joinery factory.
• Strong knowledge of woodwork, joinery materials, furniture manufacturing, costing, and production processes.
• Good understanding of joinery machinery and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and quotations for custom joinery and furniture projects.
• Study drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements to determine material and production requirements.
• Calculate quantities and costs for wood, veneers, laminates, hardware, finishes, fittings, and other joinery materials.
• Evaluate labour, machinery, production, installation, and other project-related costs.
• Develop competitive pricing while maintaining required profit margins.
• Coordinate with the design, production, procurement, and project teams to ensure accurate costing.
• Review project drawings and specifications and identify potential cost implications.
• Obtain and evaluate material and subcontractor quotations where required.
• Maintain updated costing databases for materials, labour, and production.
• Support management in pricing strategies and commercial decisions.
• Ensure estimates are prepared within project deadlines and with a high level of accuracy.

Job Purpose:

The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for custom joinery, woodwork, and bespoke furniture projects, ensuring that all material, labour, machinery, and associated costs are properly evaluated.
