Job summary

MD MIDDLE EAST is seeking an Estimation and Tender Analyst to support pre-contract activities in Abu Dhabi. You will review enquiries, interpret drawings and BOQs, and prepare quantity take-offs for accurate cost estimation.

The role also covers bid compilation, variation costing, and progress reporting, ensuring timely submissions and compliant documentation across projects.

Responsibilities

• Review project enquiries to evaluate scope, technical requirements, commercial feasibility and tender opportunities.
• Interpret drawings, BOQs and tender specifications for accurate cost estimation.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs based on project drawings and BOQs.
• Coordinate with design and technical teams for clarifications and inputs.
• Maintain organized quantity sheets for cost estimation and reporting.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors to support tendering and business development.
• Negotiate pricing terms with clients and suppliers to secure competitive tenders.
• Issue RFQs and evaluate quotations for technical and commercial compliance.
• Prepare complete bid documentation and verify for completeness before submission.
• Prepare variation quotations and manage documentation for changes in scope.
• Prepare regular estimation reports and risk assessments for management.

Pre - Contract Estimation Tender Analysis

• 1 1 Review and analyze received project enquiries to evaluate scope technical requirements commercial feasibility and tender opportunities
• 2 1 Interpret drawings BOQs and tender specifications for accurate project evaluation and cost estimation
• 3 1 Prepare detailed quantity take-offs based on project drawings and BOQs
• 4 1 Coordinate with design and technical teams for clarifications and inputs
• 5 1 Use standardized measurement methods to ensure accurate and consistent quantity take-offs
• 6 1 Maintain organized quantity sheets for cost estimation and reporting

Sales Support Business Development

• 1 1 Coordinate with clients to clarify project requirements specifications and commercial inquiries during the tendering process
• 2 1 Maintain strong relationships with clients consultants suppliers and subcontractors to support business development and secure new opportunities
• 3 1 Negotiate pricing terms and conditions with clients suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive and profitable project outcomes
• 4 1 Issue RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors and collect and evaluate quotations for technical compliance and commercial competitiveness
• 5 1 Identify discrepancies ambiguities or potential risks and raise queries to the client consultant
• 6 1 Prepare comparison sheets POC for management review and approval

Bid Compilation Submission

• 1 1 Prepare complete bid documentation including pricing BOQs commercial and technical proposals and supporting documents
• 2 1 Review and verify bid documents for completeness accuracy and alignment with client specifications before submission
• 3 1 Ensure timely submission of tenders through designated portals or client requirements maintaining proper records and tracking
• 4 1 Prepare regular estimation reports cost summaries and risk assessments for management

Variation Costing Quotation Submission Contract Documentation

• 1 1 Prepare variation quotations for additional works or changes in project scope ensuring accurate pricing and proper documentation
• 2 1 Prepare and manage document approvals technical justifications and detailed cost breakdowns for variations and project submissions
• 3 1 Coordinate with site and project teams to assess variations accurately and ensure alignment with actual site conditions and project requirements

Work Progress Reporting WPR Project Status Monitoring

• 1 1 Prepare regular work progress reports highlighting project status cost status material usage completed activities and planned milestones
• 2 1 Coordinate with site and project teams to collect accurate progress data and update management on project performance
• 3 1 Track project timelines identify delays and report deviations to ensure timely corrective actions
• 4 1 Support project managers in monitoring expenditure and reporting
