A construction company in the UAE is looking for a qualified Equipment Operator to operate heavy machinery, including forklifts and cranes. Candidates should hold a valid UAE driving license and have 3-7 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining effective communication with site teams. Immediate joiners preferred and sector-specific certifications are a plus.

Operate a variety of heavy or specialized machinery including forklifts, excavators, loaders, cranes, cherry pickers, or ground support equipment (GSE) to support operations across sectors such as construction, aviation, energy, and maintenance.
Machine Operation & Handling
Safely operate heavy equipment like excavators, loaders, bulldozers, cranes, forklifts, or cherry pickers to perform tasks such as loading/unloading, material handling, excavation, or supporting aircraft operations.
Safety & Compliance
Adhere to safety protocols, environmental guidelines, and relevant standards. For airport roles, this includes compliance with IATA, ISO, ISAGO, or ISAGO GDP/CEIV standards.
Pre and Post-Operation Checks
Conduct inspections (fluid levels, brakes, hydraulics, etc.) before and after machinery use. Clean equipment and report any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
Supporting Operations
In aviation: load/unload baggage & cargo, marshal equipment around aircraft, manage ULDs, trolleys, and staging.
In utilities or construction: assist with grading, excavation, material movement, or streetlight maintenance using elevated platforms.
Record Keeping & Communication
Maintain logs for usage, maintenance, fuel levels, and incidents. Communicate effectively with supervisors or site teams and participate in safety briefings or toolbox talks.
Educational Background
High school diploma or equivalent; technical qualifications are a plus, especially for specialized equipment roles.
Licenses & Certifications
Valid UAE operators or driving licenses relevant to the equipment (e.g., forklift, heavy vehicle, crane, boom lift). Sector-specific certifications may be required: IPAF for boom lifts, GSE training for aviation roles.
Experience
3-7 years in technical field or energy-sector equipment handling.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting machinery, basic mechanical maintenance, reading manuals, and understanding safety policies.
Soft Skills
Strong situational awareness, communication, reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail.
