Job description

Synopsis

The Equipment Operator is responsible to sort, move, load and offload to and from aircraft as instructed, including the manual handling of baggage, cargo, mail, and hand baggage as required.

Accountabilities

• Operate any type of Ground Service Equipment they are trained to use as instructed.
• Check cargo holds and/or surrounding areas for any abnormality or unusual occurrence, including missing or damaged parts and unidentified items found within the cargo holds.
• Ensure when operating GSE that the equipment is in good working condition by performing basic checks and ensuring all SOPs are adhered to for a safe and secure operation.
• Comply with defined UAE and other applicable laws, rules, procedures, and guidelines defined by Etihad Airport Services, Etihad Airways, and customer airlines with regard to quality, safety, security, operational matters, and special products.
• Operate safely in compliance with applicable procedures and instructions; report safety, security, and service occurrences, errors, hazards, and near misses utilizing established reporting procedures.
• Ensure that all operational procedures are complied with at all times, including, but not limited to, the use of handheld devices #LI-DNI.

Education & Experience

• Valid driver’s license from the U.A.E.
• 1 year of experience.
