Job summary

EDGE REMAYA operates XRANGE, a secure test and evaluation facility in Abu Dhabi, delivering environmental testing for defence platforms. Environmental Test Engineer designs and executes tests using vibration shakers, climatic chambers, and pressure rigs, ensuring procedures and reports meet standards and client requirements.

Responsibilities include test setup with clients, fixture design, data formatting, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Environmental Testing including vibration, shock, drop, thermal, humidity, etc.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 and related standards.
• Knowledge of dynamics, vibration, and thermodynamics.

Responsibilities

• Design optimum environmental tests with shaker, climate, pressure, and rain chambers.
• Set up environmental test requests with clients.
• Design test fixtures and procedures for technicians to follow.
• Prepare test reports and format data for inclusion in reports.
• Ensure environmental test equipment is used per Range documentation.
• Maintain technology watch and plan new equipment as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and safety in the area.
