Job summary

Orbitworks is establishing a state-of-the-art satellite production facility in the UAE and seeks an Environmental Test Engineer to handle environmental verification activities across the full lifecycle, including Vibration, TVAC, Thermal, and EMC campaigns.

Responsibilities include operating test equipment, sensor installation, data collection, and report generation, with emphasis on safety, calibration, and adherence to procedures in a high-stakes aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 25 years of environmental test experience.
• Proficiency operating test equipment (thermal vacuum chambers, vibration shakers).
• Ability to read and interpret test plans, schematics and engineering drawings.
• Technical diploma or Associate degree in a relevant field.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Solid understanding of instrumentation and data acquisition systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain environmental test equipment (thermal vacuum, vibration, acoustic chambers).
• Set up test articles and install sensors (thermocouples, accelerometers).
• Execute environmental tests per procedure and engineering direction.
• Monitor test progress, identify and report anomalies or failures.
• Collect and analyze test data; prepare accurate technical reports.
• Calibration and routine maintenance of test equipment; ensure safety and cleanroom procedures.
