Job summary

Weatherford in Abu Dhabi is seeking an entry-level R&M Technician - LWD I to support repair, maintenance, assembly, testing and calibration of LWD tools. This hands-on role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals aiming to build expertise in drilling technologies within a safe, collaborative team.

You will perform Level I repairs, instrument verifications, tool assembly/disassembly, documentation and basic troubleshooting, while growing under experienced mentorship.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduate with a diploma in engineering or related field.
• Basic technical knowledge from academics, internships, projects, or labs is advantageous.
• Strong interest in mechanical, electrical, or drilling technologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform Level I repairs, inspections and function testing on LWD tools and equipment.
• Assemble and disassemble LWD tool strings and perform testing and programming.
• Conduct gamma verifications, calibrations and neutron density checks.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Support workshop operations and mentor trainees as needed.
• Follow safety, quality and operational procedures.
