A leading talent advisory firm is seeking an Enterprise Architect for a 12-month onsite role in Abu Dhabi. This position involves supporting enterprise-wide transformation, focusing on cloud architectures, data platforms, and application modernization. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in architecture roles and a strong background in MS Azure and data engineering in regulated settings.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise/solution architecture roles across complex IT landscapes.
• Experience in a regulated environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks, TOGAF preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define, maintain, and communicate target state architecture.
• Conduct architecture reviews and assurance activities.
• Guide transition of Oracle workloads to cloud or co-location platforms.
• Design and govern enterprise data platforms.
• Define reference architectures for modernizing legacy applications.

About the role

Contract: 12 Months
Location: Onsite in Abu Dhabi
This role supports enterprise‑wide transformation across infrastructure, applications, and data platforms in the regulated sector. The technology estate includes MS Azure, Oracle platforms, modern data analytics platforms, and a mix of legacy and cloud‑native applications.

What you’ll be doing

• Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Governance - Define, maintain, and communicate the target state architecture across cloud, data, and application domains.
• Architecture Artifacts & Technical Oversight - Conduct architecture reviews and assurance activities during project delivery.
• Oracle Platform Modernization - Guide the transition of Oracle workloads (Exadata, OCI) to cloud or co‑location platforms.
• Cloud Architecture (Azure Focus) - Define and/or support cloud migration strategies for IaaS/PaaS workloads.
• Data Platform Architecture - Design and govern enterprise data platforms (data lakes, warehouses, real‑time streaming).
• Application & Infrastructure Transformation - Define reference architectures for modernizing legacy applications (containerization, PaaS, SaaS).
• Stakeholder Engagement & Vendor Collaboration

About you

• Batchelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• 10+ years in enterprise/solution architecture roles across complex IT landscapes, preferably in a regulated environment
• Deep hands‑on expertise in MS Azure, including IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid solutions
• Experience with data engineering platforms, data lake architecture, and big data analytics in a regulated environment
• Strong knowledge of application transformation, integration architecture, and cloud‑native design
• Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks, (TOGAF Preferred)
• Experience working with SI partners and multi‑vendor environments
