Job summary

Emerson is seeking a final-year Chemical Engineering student for a 6-month internship to gain hands-on experience in process simulation optimization and digital transformation across industries.

You will work with industry experts on real-world projects, develop and validate AspenTech process models, analyze data, contribute to digital twin initiatives, and prepare technical reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• Final year student in Chemical Engineering program.
• Strong understanding of mass and energy balances, thermodynamics and process design.
• Familiarity with process simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Eagerness to learn and apply digital technologies in the process industries.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic final-year Chemical Engineering student to join our team for a 6-month internship. This internship offers hands-on experience in process simulation optimization and digital transformation technologies working alongside industry experts on real-world projects.

Your role responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

• Assist in developing and validating process simulation models using AspenTech tools (e.g. Aspen HYSYS Aspen Plus).
• Support engineers in process optimization and troubleshooting for client use cases.
• Participate in data analysis and interpretation to improve operational performance.
• Contribute to digital twin and advanced process control (APC) projects.
• Prepare technical reports documentation and presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including solution consulting sales and customer support.
• Attend training sessions to build expertise in AspenTech software solutions and industry applications.
