Job summary

Remotedxb in Dubai seeks a senior software engineering leader to drive product architecture and lead a hands-on/architect split.

You’ll own delivery, set engineering standards, and mentor engineers while partnering with product leadership to shape the roadmap. The role requires strong system design, full-stack skills, and experience with AI-assisted development in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with leadership
• Experience building products or systems from scratch
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development and agentic coding workflows
• Frontend and backend development capabilities
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js (Nest.js), React, SQL, MongoDB, and AWS
• Strong system design skills
• Experience hiring and mentoring engineers
• English level B2/C1

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the product line and drive System Design Reviews

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading a team
• Experience building products or systems from scratch
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development (agentic coding workflows, codebase context, end-to-end verification)
• Proficiency in both frontend and backend development
• TypeScript, Node.js (Nest.js), React, SQL, MongoDB, and AWS knowledge
• Strong system design skills
• Experience hiring and mentoring engineers
• B2/C1 English level
• Comfortable with startup mode

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LLM APIs in production (Anthropic, OpenAI), RAG, agents, or evals
• Fintech background or experience on security-focused projects
• Knowledge of Go or Python
• Early-stage startup experience
• Experience with infrastructure setup
