Job summary

Client of Discovered MENA is seeking an Engineering Manager in Abu Dhabi to lead the Infrastructure and Services team while staying hands-on with technical delivery.

You will mentor software engineers, drive high-throughput systems, and align software solutions with business goals, leveraging Node.js, TypeScript, Go, and IaC. Eight+ years in software development and two years in leadership are required, with PostgreSQL and Redis experience.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of professional software development experience.
• Minimum two years in a management or technical leadership role.
• Strong expertise with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Demonstrated experience scaling cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Hands on skill with relational databases like PostgreSQL and in memory data stores like Redis.
• Experience using AI assisted coding tools within engineering workflows.
• Proficiency with Go or background in AdTech is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Infrastructure and Services team while remaining hands on with technical delivery.
