Job summary

Sundus is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead design and development for Well Completion Systems in the UAE and India. You will guide product design, validation, and manufacturing support while ensuring API compliance and customer-driven outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, deep CAD proficiency, and a track record of delivering complex oilfield projects with cross-functional collaboration. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 12–15 years of relevant engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
• Strong experience in Well Completion Systems.
• Proven experience in product design, development, validation, testing, and manufacturing support.
• Strong understanding of API standards and audits.
• Experience managing a team of 10+ employees.
• Strong knowledge of CAD/design tools, engineering drawings, technical documentation, RCA, NCR and ECM processes.
• Immediate availability or short notice period preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Design & Development activities from material selection through product validation, ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, process plans, quality plans, material specifications, and technical documentation.
• Lead and support API audits covering API 14L, 11D1, 19AC, 7-1, 7-2, 5CT, 5B, and 5DP.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for product and process failures.
• Prepare and review design packages, validation procedures, testing methods, and operational procedures.
• Provide technical support to Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Customers.
• Lead product testing, validation, and process capability activities.
• Oversee product design using CAD/design tools, including interpretation of drawings and schematics.
• Manage NCRs and ECMs and ensure timely closure.
