Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the execution of the engineering portion of multi‑discipline engineering scope on one or more projects/work scopes, coordinating and completing engineering and start‑up aspects while meeting HSSE, quality, schedule, and budget goals.
- Drive technical assurance: promote corporate/client procedures, assist incident investigations, monitor compliance, deliver learning opportunities, focus on process safety, eliminate technical incidents through controls and reviews, identify and mitigate risks, and pursue continuous improvement opportunities.
- Manage and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams: plan, organise, direct, and evaluate activities; assist recruitment, performance management, succession planning, and workforce planning; ensure appropriate resourcing and competence.
- Manage key stakeholders: prepare engineering content for project execution plans; direct and manage engineering activities; negotiate with clients; assign, coordinate, and review technical work; resolve complex conflicts and facilitate agreement; drive margin improvement opportunities.
- Own engineering processes: develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures; apply and develop new strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Maintain internal and external working relationships: collaborate with business interfaces, business/functional communities, industry bodies, academia, vendors, and client interfaces.
- Exercise influence over operational budget, KPI delivery, annual functional budgets, change management, and talent succession planning.
Expected Qualifications
- B.S. or equivalent degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 20+ years relevant experience in major Brownfield oil & gas projects, including at least five years in a similar position.
- Specific experience in Oil and Gas projects across their lifecycle in the GCC region (preferred).
- Pre‑FEED and FEED experience required; Detailed Engineering experience preferred.
