Job summary

ED Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our engineering function, drive technical excellence, and deliver major initiatives across projects, systems, and operations. The role requires strategic leadership, deep technical expertise, and strong people management to build high-performing teams, manage budgets, ensure safety and quality, and align engineering with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline is required.
• Professional engineering license or chartered status is highly desirable.
• Master’s degree, MBA or advanced technical qualification is an added advantage.
• Experience managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary or international engineering projects.
• Proven track record delivering projects within budget, schedule, quality, and performance requirements.
• Strong leadership and people-management capabilities with experience developing high-performing technical teams.
• Excellent project management, strategic planning, budgeting, and resource management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to evaluate technical solutions from operational and financial perspectives.
