Job summary

AECOM Middle East Limited Dubai Branch is seeking a detailed-oriented Engineer - Structural to supervise a major roads and bridges project in Dubai. You will oversee structural engineering activities on site, ensuring compliance with plans and quality standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil/Structural Engineering, a PE license, and at least 8 years of supervision experience on large-scale infrastructure projects in the UAE.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in construction supervision of operation and maintenance of bridges and roads.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards in the UAE
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Exceptional technical report writing and communication abilities
  • Experience in managing large-scale construction projects
  • In-depth understanding of building materials, methods, and quality control processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites within the UAE
  • RTA Approved is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate structural engineering activities on construction sites

  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues
  • Follow up set inspection for installations and review inspector’s performance on a regular basis.
  • Update progress for all assigned works to the project manager to include in his reports
  • Review updated records that would form as built records
  • Check and coordinate for all assigned services
  • Coordinate with Head office (Design) for all material reviews and design queries
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures for structural elements
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss project progress and address concerns

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Engineer - Structural to a supervision project in Dubai. In this role, you will oversee and manage structural engineering aspects of new roads and bridges.
