Job summary

AECOM in Dubai, UAE is seeking a Bridge Engineer to produce design information and coordinate with CAD/BIM technicians for drawings production. Designs follow AASHTO LRFD, Eurocodes and other international codes, with potential site inspections.

The role requires 4–6 years hands-on experience in bridges and related structures, with UAE/ME project exposure preferred. You will contribute to design development, risk assessments, reports, and liaison with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Bridge/Civil/Structural Engineering required or equivalent.
• MSc level or higher preferred.
• Chartered or PE licensed preferred.

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking Bridge Engineers to be based in Dubai UAE. The Bridge Engineer will be responsible to produce the design information and coordinate with the CAD/BIM technicians for the drawings production. Design will be carried out in accordance with AASHTO LRFD Eurocodes AREMA and or any other international design code as applicable. He/She may be assigned if required to undertake some site inspections.

Specific Skills Required

• Must have minimum relevant experience between 4 to 6 years of hands‑on experience in design of Bridges underpasses rail structures stations and other infrastructure structures. UAE/ME projects experience would be preferred.

• Shows willingness and enthusiasm actively contributes.

• Able to develop design spreadsheets.

• Knows basis use of AutoCAD and able to review BIM models on Naviswork.

• Relevant experience in inspection and assessment of bridges and other transportation structures is preferable.

• Knowledge sharing to junior engineers.
  • Experience with various software packages for analysis and design such as Midas Etabs Safe STAAD CSI Bridge.
