Job summary

Space42 in Abu Dhabi is seeking a QA Engineer to own end‑to‑end testing for web and mobile apps, ensuring functional precision, performance, and UX quality. You will interface with clients to gather feedback and demonstrate product updates.

The role requires hands‑on automation, performance testing, and strong English communication within an Agile/Scrum team. SQL skills and client interaction support are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on QA experience on web and mobile applications.
• Excellent verbal and written English for documentation and client communications.
• Proven automation framework design using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• Strong performance testing skills with JMeter, K6, or Gatling.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with sprint ceremonies.
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure pixel-perfect quality.
• Ability to write SQL queries for data verification and debugging.
• Comfortable engaging with clients and stakeholders when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the full Software Testing Life Cycle from requirements to release.
• Design and maintain robust automated test suites (UI + API).
• Plan and run load, stress, and performance tests for scalability.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing to find edge cases and UI issues.

ROLE PURPOSE

We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to take complete ownership of our end-to-end testing lifecycle. In this role, you will be the ultimate champion for software quality, ensuring every feature we release meets exceptional standards of functional precision, performance, and user experience.

As a primary quality representative, you will also interface directly with clients to understand feedback and demonstrate product updates. If you have a sharp eye for a polished product, fluent communication skills, and deep expertise across manual, automated, and performance testing, we want to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• CompleteQA Ownership: Lead and execute the full Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) from initial requirement analysis and test planning to release sign-off and post-launch monitoring.
• Automation Framework Design: Own, Build, maintain, and scale robust automated test suites (UI and API) to accelerate integration and regression testing cycles.
• Performance & Load Testing: Plan, script, and execute load, stress, and performance tests to ensure systems remain fast, scalable, and resilient under heavy traffic.
• Manual & Exploratory Testing: Conduct thorough manual and exploratory testing to catch edge cases, usability flaws, and visual inconsistencies that automated scripts miss.
• Product Polish Advocate: Serve as the ultimate filter for product quality, ensuring UI/UX flows are intuitive, seamless, and pixel-perfect prior to release.
• Agile Integration: Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Designers in an Agile/Scrum environment to refine user stories, define acceptance criteria, and prevent defects early in the sprint cycle.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs to resolution using JIRA (or similar tools), providing clear reproduction steps and detailed diagnostics.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites directly into CI/CD deployment pipelines to enable continuous feedback and rapid delivery cycles.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience as a QA Engineer working on web and mobile applications.
• Must have exceptional, highly competent verbal and written English skills for clear documentation, team collaboration, and professional client interactions.
• Proven experience designing and implementing automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.
• Solid background in performance testing tools like JMeter, K6, or Gatling.
• Extensive experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies with active participation in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
• An exceptional eye for detail with a relentless drive to ensure products look, feel, and function flawlessly.
• Comfortable writing SQL queries for database verification, inspecting network calls, and analyzing system logs.
• Confident and willing to engage directly with clients and stakeholders as needed.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience presenting technical demos or managing UAT sessions with client stakeholders.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with security testing practices and OWASP principles.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent software testing credential.
