Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to oversee construction planning, scheduling, and on-site supervision to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in construction planning, expertise in Primavera P6 or MS Project, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, with knowledge of UAE regulations and site inspections.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard planning software and methodologies.
• Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Monitor project progress against established timelines and budgets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed progress reports and performance metrics for project stakeholders and management.
• Manage resource allocation, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize project efficiency.
• Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to ensure quality standards and adherence to construction specifications.
• Identify and analyze project risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve planning conflicts and technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with UAE construction regulations, safety standards, and local building codes.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, change orders, and correspondence.
• Provide technical guidance and support to site supervisors and construction teams.
• Analyze construction methodologies and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity.

• Familiarity with UAE construction regulations, building codes, and local compliance requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools
