Job description

We are seeking a talented innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in our Building Engineering practice in the UAE. a key member of our Building Services team you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems and products that meet our clients’ needs and industry standards.

Responsibilities
  • Create designs specific to the discipline (HVAC, lighting, power distribution, fire safety, plumbing, energy systems).
  • Develop sustainable and energy‑efficient solutions that comply with regulations and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to integrate building systems into overall designs.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and calculations to support project needs.
  • Ensure compatibility and functionality of various building services systems within the structure.
  • Address challenges in integrating new systems into existing buildings or structures.
  • Ensure designs meet local building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide solutions to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Conduct design reviews, audits, and risk assessments to ensure the reliability and safety of designs.
  • Stay updated on advancements in building technologies, materials, and energy solutions.
  • Explore and implement innovative designs that reduce carbon footprints.
  • Adopt advanced BIM modelling solutions, including computational engineering for sizing systems in the Revit environment.
  • Develop models to LOD 150 to integrate conceptual spatial planning in design using Revit.
  • Learn and apply digital delivery workflows through system optimization, advanced simulations, strategies, and multidisciplinary coordination through adoption of Revit tools/Revizto in ACC and BIM 360 environment.
  • Develop digital skills through adoption of programming languages to enhance design automation, data analysis, and system integration.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD or BIM tools.
  • Experience in residential, retail or hospitality projects.
