Job summary

Larsen & Toubro Limited seeks a Senior QA/QC Civil Engineer to lead quality assurance for civil construction, including solar PV, BESS, and EPC projects in the UAE.

You will implement QA/QC procedures, review ITPs, ensure compliance with drawings and ISO 9001 standards, and coordinate inspections with teams and subcontractors to close NCRs and prepare handover dossiers.

Qualifications

Job Description

Job Purpose

Responsible for implementing QA/QC requirements for all civil construction activities, ensuring works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, ITPs, quality procedures, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of civil works including earthworks, grading, excavation, backfilling, compaction, foundations, cable trenches, drainage, roads, fencing and equipment foundations/pads.
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications and applicable quality requirements.
• Implement and monitor Project Quality Plan, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements and QA/QC procedures.
• Inspect incoming construction materials and verify relevant approvals, test reports and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate inspections and testing with construction teams, subcontractors and relevant project stakeholders.
• Identify and document non-conformances (NCRs) and coordinate corrective and preventive actions through closure.
• Maintain quality documentation including inspection reports, test results, material approvals and compliance certificates.
• Monitor subcontractor and supplier quality performance and support quality audits.
• Coordinate closely with Engineering and Construction teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Support internal/external quality audits and compliance with ISO 9001 / project quality requirements.
• Prepare quality reports and monitor relevant quality KPIs.
• Ensure proper QA/QC documentation is maintained for project handover and close-out.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in Solar PV, BESS, infrastructure or EPC projects.
• Good knowledge of civil construction inspection and QA/QC documentation.
• Experience in ground-mounted Solar PV projects preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 / Quality Management Systems; relevant QA/QC certification preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
