Job summary

Aggreko in Dubai is seeking a Validation Technician to oversee testing and validation projects, mentor technicians, and drive efficiency across maintenance and testing activities. The role focuses on developing validation protocols, documenting results, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical aptitude, hands-on engine control experience, and proficiency with DAQ and engine diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Specialized diploma with post-secondary training / University degree in a technical discipline / Certificate in diesel/automotive technology.
• Proficiency with data acquisition (DAQ) and engine diagnostic software.
• Strong electrical aptitude and hands-on experience with engine control components.
• Excellent communication skills and analytical thinking.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals and schematics.
• Familiarity with emissions measurement equipment and ECUs.

Responsibilities

• Support on-time delivery of the build plan and validation testing.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians.
• Resolve technical issues and implement best practices for performance.
• Develop validation protocols and document validation activities.
• Plan and execute validation testing with attention to safety and quality.
• Maintain test records and generate comprehensive reports for engineers and management.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and efficiency.
