Job summary

NMC Healthcare is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to join our hospital team in Sharjah. You will assist in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures, prepare endoscopes and ERBE/related equipment, and ensure patient safety and infection control.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Endoscopy Technology, two years of experience, strong English communication, and the ability to follow OSH procedures and maintain meticulous records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Endoscopy Technology required.
• Two years of experience as Endoscopy Technician.
• Excellent English communication and writing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule endoscopy procedures, including emergencies.
• Prepare endoscopy room and equipment for procedures; ensure safety and suitability for patients.
• Assist in diagnostic procedures: Esophagogastroduodenoscopy, Colonoscopy, Bronchoscopy; maintain patient safety.
• Assist in therapeutic procedures: variceal banding, sclerotherapy, polypectomy, dilatation, hemostasis, foreign body removal, PEG, balloon insertion, ERCP, biopsy.
• Maintain records for disinfection, instrument storage, Endoscopy workflow, and OSH compliance.

• Endoscopy procedure scheduling. (Emergency Procedures).
• Arrange the endoscopy room for procedure & make sure there are no errors and that theyre appropriate and safe for individual patient.
• Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
• Prepare Endoscopes and Accessories.
• Assist in Diagnostic Procedures like;
• Esophagi Gastroduodenoscopy

• Flexible Sigmoidoscopy

• The strictest hand hygiene, 5 moments of hand hygiene, bare below the elbows and environmental care, will be expected of all staff, including the post holder, at all times.

Qualifications

Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Endoscopy Technology

Experience: Two years as Endoscopy Technician in a Hospital setup

Technical Skills

• Ability to demonstrate an excellent knowledge in Endoscopy Technician field.
• Excellent Communication skill with good command in writing and speaking in English.
• Follow Specific instructions with high degree of accuracy during procedures.
• Excellent computer Skills.
