Job summary

GEMS Education in Dubai is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support teachers and learners in daily classroom activities. You will help with reading activities, supervise groups, and assist with displays and materials.

Ideal candidates are Emirati nationals with good Maths and English, strong communication, and a willingness to work under direction. ICT skills are a plus, and prior TA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• General education with strong Maths and English.
• Good written and spoken English and excellent communication.
• ICT skills desirable for classroom activities.
• Previous experience as a teaching assistant or with children preferred.
• Emirati Nationals only

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with reading related activities.
• Run small group activities inside or outside the classroom as directed by the teacher.
• Prepare and tidy up classroom activities and displays.
• Photocopy documents and prepare worksheets as requested.
• Cover classes for short periods in emergencies.
• Maintain tidiness and stock of classroom materials.
• Help children with toilet needs.
