Job summary

Parsons is seeking an Associate Estimating Engineer (UAE National) in Abu Dhabi to perform standard estimating tasks for contracts and projects. You will develop WBS, collect cost data, and prepare bases of estimate while collaborating with estimating leads.

Ideal candidates hold a related bachelor's degree, have a solid grasp of contract documents, and demonstrate strong English communication skills. Fresh UAE national graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management or related field.
• Clear understanding of construction contract commercial documents, drawings and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepares material takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Develops and shapes work breakdown structures (WBS) for contracts and projects.
• Assists in maintaining cost data and estimate databases.
• Prepares bases of estimate (BOE) including scope, methods, rates, and exclusions.
• Utilizes historical data and parametric estimates to assess probable costs.
• Obtains supplier quotations to support estimate development.
• Reviews contract documents to assess risks and exposure.
