Job summary

Khazna Data Centers seeks an HSE Engineer to ensure a safe and compliant work environment across project sites. You will review and implement safety programs, monitor regulatory compliance, and promote a strong safety culture aligned with ISO 45001 and local codes.

You will lead risk assessments, inspections, incident investigations, and HSE training for employees and contractors, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials and maintaining accurate HSE records for audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety management, engineering or a relevant field.
• Certificate in occupational health and safety.
• 5+ years of proven experience in Health and Safety in GCC Region.
• Experience as Health Safety Officer and knowledge of NEBOSH/OSHS/OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE plans, policies, and procedures per project and regulatory needs.
• Conduct risk assessments and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) with control measures.
• Inspect sites, equipment, and practices for safety compliance.

As part of our Emiratisation initiative, we are seeking an HSE Engineer responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment across all project sites. The role involves reviewing, evaluating, and implementing safety programs and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational hazards. The HSE Engineer conducts regular inspections, monitors compliance with HSE regulations, and promotes a strong safety culture in line with company and legal standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Implement, and monitor HSE plans, policies, and procedures in line with project and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and implement control measures to eliminate or minimize hazards.
• Inspect project sites, equipment, and work practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and engineering specifications.
• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide HSE induction and technical training to employees, contractors, and site personnel.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials and hazardous substances.
• Review and update HSE documentation in accordance with current legislation and standards (e.g., ISO 45001, local authority codes).
• Maintain accurate HSE records, permits, and compliance reports for audits and management review.
• Stop and report any unsafe activities or conditions, promoting a proactive safety culture across all project phases.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

• Bachelor's degree in safety management, engineering or a relevant field is preferred.
• Certificate in occupational health and safety
• 5 plus years of proven experience in Health and Safety in GCC Region
• Proven experience as Health Safety Officer
• In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHS, OSHA) and procedures
• Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
• Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
• Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
• Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus.
