Job summary

GHD in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced ELV Design Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. You will contribute to telecom, CCTV, AV, and structured cabling design across infrastructure, buildings, and transport projects.

You will work within a multidisciplinary environment, coordinate with BIM modelers, and ensure designs comply with local authorities. A minimum 3–5 years in engineering consultancy and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an engineering consultancy.
• Commercial acumen to provide cost-effective ELV solutions.
• Enthusiasm for ELV systems integration and latest updates.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication; ability to translate IT concepts.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills beyond tech talk.

Responsibilities

• Design ELV systems including Telecommunication, PAVA, AV, CCTV, and Structured Cabling from concept to construction.
• Produce ELV calculations such as CCTV Field of View, lens, recording time and capacity.
• Coordinate with Architectural, MEP, and other disciplines during design.
• Ensure designs comply with local authorities (Etisalat, Du, ADMMC, SIRA) and obtain NOC/s.
• Prepare ELV packages: drawings, single line diagrams, specs and schedules.
• Liaise with local suppliers and coordinate with BIM modelers (Revit & CAD).
• Assist Sr. Engineer with design support, presentations, and tender documentation.
